After we got set up, nothing much to do since we don’t have any hook ups, we ate tuna
fish sandwiches for lunch and then took our lawn chairs to the beach.  It was great, a
little chilly but nice and the waves were really crashing. Enjoyed this for about an hour
then came back to the motor home.

About 4pm we decided to walk over to the other campground and see what it was like.
Nice walk, we picked up some pinecones and bark to put in our little potpoure container.
We came home and added oil to our found nature things and it made the motor home
smell really great.  Danny brought in the candles that we bought in Solvang so we had
candle light.

Danny just read some news to me from the computer about a 50 year old man found
dead in his truck at the rest area outside of Buellton.  The police were treating this as a
homicide.  Hmm, wonder if it was the bad incident they were talking about.

Well, not much more to write about.  Tomorrow we are staying here in the park and just
relaxing and enjoying each other and mother nature.  Thursday we are headed for
Carpinteria for two nights.  We will be able to see and visit with old friends there.  That
will be fun.  Kind of looking forward to it – but glad it is only 2 days.  Do miss the old
group of camp hosts there.
Good night.

Adventure

Today we leave the beautiful Flying
Flags RV Resort.  Could just stay here
for many many more days.
Before we left, we saw lots of police cars and policemen around the 5th
wheel next to us.  They were talking  low so that we couldn’t hear them.
I was putting some dark window coverings over the top windows when I
heard a policeman ask if I was there and could he please talk to me.
Oh yes, I was there and I would be right out!  He said there had been a
very bad incident involving the couple next door and they would not be
back. He then proceeded to ask if I had heard anything or saw
anything.  I hadn’t heard anything since we got there or even seen
either of the people in the 5th wheel since the day we pulled in.  Not
much more was said about the incident.  When he asked me for my
driver’s license and found out I was from Tulare he asked about the
Outlet Mall and Cool Hank Luke Restaurant. He said he and his wife
would be going to Tulare next week and asked if the mall was good as
well as the restaurant.  Filled him in.

I finished doing my window cover and the laundry about 15 to 12 and we
pulled out headed for Refugio State Beach.  We did take the motor
home to the car wash to rinse if off.  It has stuff from the Eucalyptus
trees all over the back of it.  The rinse didn’t do that much but took
some of the dirt off.  Guess we will have to take it to a Truck Wash.
We made it here to Refugio State Park
just fine.  Since we haven’t traveled in
this RV yet we were a little concerned
about the hill that we had to go up but
the motor home did just great.  We got
here just fine and found our camping
site  #9.  We pulled in forward so that
we now have somewhat of an ocean
view
