Here it is the first day of the last month before the new year. Ha – heard that on the TV news this morning. Just liked it cuz it says it all. Today was a great day. We went out driving and looking just to see what there was around here. We found the OASIS and what a great place that was. It is an area where Page 29 There are lots of palm trees around and walking paths with bridges and a dry creek bed. It sits right on the San Adreas Fault. The area has under water that keeps the trees alive. They have a great cabin there which is used as the Visitors Center. We spoke to the “permanent Camp Host” and she gave us the card from the lady we need to apply with. It is really a different place and we think it would be great to be a camp host there for 2 or 3 months. We just don’t want to be camp hosts for long periods of time at the same place. After that we drove to Cathedral City and Thousand Palms and had lunch at In N Out. Lots of people and very busy. After lunch we drove around some the the towns in the area and found WalMart. Danny was able to find the hose and connection we needed and also the block to level the coach. I got my hair cut while Danny walked around. We left WalMart and drove around to see what there was. We found a Casino that we will probably go to and dry camp there one night when we leave here. As we were headed home Danny asked me if I knew how to get back home. Ha yeah, it is me you’re talking too. I have no clue. He asked if I was by myself how would I get back. I told him I would stop at many, many gas stations and ask. He pointed out that I don’t even like to ask people anything. I would have to make an exception to find my way back home. Danny has never been in this area and he just got us right back home. That just amazes me!! We got home about 5pm and had sandwiches for dinner and worked on the computer. About 9pm we headed over to the hot tub. The wind is blowing so it is cooler tonight than it was last night. The hot tub felt so good and relaxing. Bet I sleep really good tonight. Tomorrow we are going to stay here at the resort and enjoy the pool and hot tub during the day and just kick back. I’m thinking I need to put up my chair and read my book. Oooh, that sounds great.
