Pull out of Costco and head for Five Cities, another short leg of our adventure.  We
arrive at North Beach Campground and find out site, # 28.  Nobody is in the Kiosk,
so we have to walk up to the entrance and pay for our two nights.  On the way we
stopped at the Camp Host  Site, #15, and meet Les and Linda.  They are the Camp
Hosts for the winter.  They are from Kalamath, Oregon and are loving the beautiful
weather.  We share some experiences and then we head to the Kiosk.

It is a nice walk and there is a Park Aid at the Kiosk, Alma.  We pay her and get
registered.  Thank goodness she was there, she saved us $10.00.  We forgot that it
was time for winter rates.  Can always use an extra $10.00.  We enjoy a different
route back to the motor home and have a quick lunch, our standby, tuna sandwiches.

The agenda for today is after lunch we head for the bank, gotta make a deposit,
then to WalMart and Trader Joe’s.  WalMart we need some sweatpants, and look for
a coffeepot.  It seems ours isn’t doing so well.  Find the sweatpants, great price, but
no coffeepot.  Oh well, will get one another time.

Trader Joe’s, gosh I love that store.  Have a little sample of coffee, get our veggie
bacon and now we are headed back to the campground.  We have decided a nice
walk on the beach would be a good thing so we put the bacon in the freezer, put on
our flip flops and ocean here we come.

The sun has set but it is beautiful.  We walk in the water, just getting our feet and
ankles wet.  Now that our ankles are frozen the water doesn’t see so cold.  We walk
for about ½ hour and then head back.

Dinnertime so I fix burritos with the leftovers from yesterday, and a margarita while
Danny builds a fire.  Now how much better does the day get – a walk on the beach
with the one you love, burritos, margaritas and a campfire.  Heaven, I think I am in
Heaven!

These next two days are going to be a trial for us and a learning experience.  Here
at North Beach Campground we have no hookups at all.  This is how it will be once
we get out into the desert so we are going to practice for two days.  So far it isn’t too
bad.  We have a generator that we can use to run lights and microwave.  Nope, no
TV for two nights, and the Yankees play tomorrow night.  Will have to keep up with it
on the internet.  Danny has this thing that plugs into the cigarette lighter that
changes whatever it it so that I can plug my computer into it and have electricity.

It has been a great day out here on our adventure.   Still really happy to have the
opportunity to experience this lifestyle.

Tuesday, Nov. 03, 2009 –  Here it is, Tuesday, and we are leaving
Bay Pines Resort.  Doesn’t seem like we were here long enough.  Danny is
unhooking  electric, water, and sewer outside and I am packing the few
things on the counter in the laundry basket so that we can travel without
stuff falling off the cabinets.  Yes, it would be easier not to have the “stuff”
but what do I do without olive oil, bananas, my light on the table and my
cooking utensils.  Don’t use them very much but gotta have them when I
need them.  I have downsized considerably since we started this Rving life.
Ok, Danny says he is all done and the motor home is ready to go.  I have to
change my clothes. We are not going too far but gotta put decent clothes
on.
Danny pulled the little car out so now comes the manuvering of the motor home.  Last
night we got neighbors, a 30 foot travel trailer and on the other side a 45 foot Alegro
Bus.  Danny just puts this motor home right where he wants it so easy.  He is my hero.
My job is to drive the car close enough to hook up- I do that pretty well.

Ok we are on our way.  We wave goodbye to the people in the office and head for
Costco.  We have to get gas and with a tank as big as the one on the motor home we
have to get gas where it is the least expensive and right now that is Costco.  It will be an
easy trip since it is on our way to Five Cities.  Thank goodness we weren’t empty and it
only cost $65.00 to filler up.  Well, we are at Costco let’s not waste the trip- we gotta go
in and see what they have today.

It is 10 minutes to 11:00 and we are just regular members so we have to wait until 11:
00am to get in.  OPEN, OPEN, OPEN. (Took that from the old Mervyn’s
advertisements.).  We cruise around Costco and find a few things we need, drinking
water, chocolate covered almonds and coffee. They are showcasing food stuff so we
troll around doing the Costco Taste Test.  OK, had enough, lets go.
