| Mon. Dec. 7, 2009 – It was beautiful about 6: 30am this morning – a little misty and fresh. We sat on the sofa with coffee in hand, opened our window and enjoyed the fresh rain air. Right now it is just a mist but I think it is suppose to really storm tonight. We go to the office for our seminar. Dave is there so we follow him to the conference room. Have no idea what this entails as I have never been to one of these before. He is a really nice guy. Along with the seminar we joke around and share trivia. He showed us what Western Horizons has to offer and then we get to the brass tacks. WOW, know we can’t afford this!! I ask for more options and he gives then to us. The last offer was within our boundries so we go home and talk about it. It is now 12:00 noon, and we have been there since 9:30am. We talk about it, figure out the cost of our camping prices and then decide we can do this. Back up to the office we go. There is Dave waiting for us. We fill out all the papers and he explains all of the stuff to us and is so patient when we ask all of the questions. He then says he will let us stay here for another week if we want, but we tell him we really only want 2 more days. We get those so now we don’t leave here until 10 Dec, (Stephanie’s 38th birthday). Can’t believe it has been that long!! After we finish we head for Blythe. Danny found the Rite-Aid there on the main road and we need to get our prescriptions filled. Wow, so many of the stores are closed. Not much to the downtown area of Blythe. We found some Christmas stuff on sale and I need to get in the spirit. We need to get some dinner while our prescriptions are being filled, I am starving, so we see a Sizzler down the street. We have the senior dinner and eat til we are so full. Go back to Rite Aid and head home. Get home and Audrey and Fred stop by on their way home. They cooked dinner at the club house tonight. I forgot they were doing that but we needed to get our prescriptions filled. Page 33 We are sitting here talking and the rain starts with thunder and lightening and wind. We are rockin and rollin in our coach. We sat here talking and had the lights go our and hail. It calmed down a little so they went home. It rained hard for a while and the wind blew hard until about 1am. Danny and I put lights in our front window – looks kind of Christmasy and on our way back from Blythe we found some tumbleweeds to make our Christmas tree out of. Gotta get that going. Hope it turns out OK. Good night from the windy, rainy, RV resort called Colorado River Oasis. |
