| Thur. Dec 10, 2009 – Happy Birthday to my Stephanie. Talked to Steph, Rileigh and Debbie a few times tonight. Gosh I miss them all. They are getting ready for Christmas. It has always been such a family time in our lives but I do love Danny and can’t imagine life without him and I especially enjoy our life in the motor home. Like I have always told my grandkids – its choices you make and I like my choice – traveling with Danny in our motor home. Went to Blythe at 9am this morning so that we could pick up our prescriptions. They weren’t ready so we had some breakfast at Mickey D’s and then went back to Rite Aid and picked up our prescriptions and headed back to Ehrenberg. Finished getting the motor home ready to roll and went to the kitchen at the Resort and told Fred and Audrey good bye. Got back to the motor home and Danny said he wanted me to drive the motor home when we left the resort. Oh no, I don’t think I can do this. But I am going to try. Scared but know that I have to try. It is now 12 noon and we are off. Danny drove the motor home to the entrance of the resort and then stopped and I scooted over to the steering wheel. Pulled out of the parking lot and made a big turn – ok – I did that. We are now on the road to Parker. Danny just told me to keep the motor home about 6 inches from the center line – just keep it between the lines! That was one of my favorite Ricky Van Shelton songs “Keep it between the lines”. Our motor home is tall and long. It isn’t like driving a small car. The motor home is 30 feet long with a tow car! I kept that motor home between the lines- even when those big hay trucks passed on the opposite side of the road. Drove pretty good for the first time – the curves were a little tough and so were the two narrow bridges! We got to the stoplight where we turned left to go into Parker and I pulled over and told Danny he had to take over. I had driven 39 miles! That was ENOUGH! Well, I know that if something happens to Danny I can drive the motor home – but really don’t want too. Told Danny that if it ever came to that I would call Mark or Brian and have them come and drive the coach! But I could do it if I had to. Page 35 Tonight we went to the hot tub and stayed there for an hour. It was cool outside but the hot tub was really warm and so was the pool. This is a great resort. It is called “Emerald Cove RV Resort” and it is a wonderful place out here in the desert. Tomorrow morning we are going to breakfast and have biscuits and gravy then we are going to the seminar. After that we will drive to Parker and see what there is to see around here. Tomorrow night we are going to a fish fry here at the resort. They have stuff going on all the time. Sat night we are going to dinner here at the resort and then they have live music and dancing. That should be fun! These 3 nights here are going to go by very fast and we will be heading towards Pahrump. We do have to call and change our reservations since we have figured out that we are kind of far away from Pahrump. Will probably be there about the 18 or 19. We are spending Christmas there and then on the 30 we will head for Las Vegas for New Years Eve at an RV resort. Time for bed so that I can get up early tomorrow and get going with all the things we want to do tomorrow. There is a casino across the river – think we should go check it out.
