Ok, the batteries are charged, still no TV though, but I found the game in “slow
live” on the computer  and  am watching it as we speak.  Looks good for the
Yankees, but don’t want to count my chickens just yet!

I think from this experience, dry camping, we will be OK to camp like this in the
desert.  Really enjoying this life style.  I do like  to have hook-ups some of the
time.  Tomorrow we will go to Oceano where we will have water and electric hook
ups.  I think we will even get TV tomorrow.

We decided we need to get out and about tomorrow morning.  We want to walk to
the “Butterfly Grove” and see the butterflies on the trees and then we will walk
back to the motor home and pack it up and move 2 miles to Oceano
Campground.  Just a change for 4 nights then we are headed south to Buellton
where we will be for 1 night in a RV resort.  Going to take advantage of the
Jacuzzi and anything else it has to offer because after that we are headed to
Refugio State Park for 3 nights with NO hook ups.  It is a beautiful place but 3
nights without hook ups.  This will be a trial again.

Last night we had to run the heater in the motor home.  It got cold but the heater
really works well and it got way too hot.  Tonight it has started out that way, cold
and Danny turned the heater on but I bet before too long he will turn it down.

Need to end this for tonight.  It wasn’t an action filled day, I am so glad.  Tomorrow
will be kind of busy with the move but then maybe we will go to the Farmer’s
Market in San Luis Obispo and have dinner at McClintocks and eat sitting on the
street curb.  That is really an experience.  We believe McClintocks quick meals at
the Farmer’s Market are the best and fun just to sit on the curb and chow down.  I
love the chicken and garlic toast and Danny loves the beans and garlic toast.
One meal split between the two of us does just fine.  It is messy and we use lots
and lots of napkins.  Another thing to look forward to.

Wed., Nov. 4, 2009 – Here on the beach.
Another beautiful day We got up at 7:00am and
went for a walk on the beach.  The tide was
coming in and the waves were glorious.  We
walked about an hour and decided we needed to
change our daily plan.  We came home ate
breakfast outside in the sunshine, changed
clothes and headed for Vandenberg AFB.  It is
about 35 miles away.  I wanted to go and see if
the tickets were any cheaper to Disneyland than
what I could get them on the internet.  Yahoo, it
was a better deal to get them at the military
base.  Thank goodness for my military ID.  I can
still get some benefits worth getting.
We had lunch in Santa Maria, from a coupon we had in out dining out
have definitely got out $20.00 back.  It was a nice authentic Mexican
Restaurant called LA UNICA.  Good food and good service.

After lunch we headed to San Luis Obispo.  I have to renew my drivers
license and since it has been a long time since they have seen this
smiling face and I have gotten older (but lets not think about that part),
they wanted to see my smiling face again.  I had an appointment at 3:
10pm but since we got there early we thought we would see if we could
get in.  WOW hardly anyone there and we only had to wait 10 minutes.
Got a new picture and now I am good for another few years.

Gosh, the day has gotten to be kind of long so we decided to come back
and have a beer and relax in the sun.  Pulled up that lawn chair and
soaked up some of the sun, read a little from my book.  Danny fixed the
clock on the dashboard and then kicked back.  This is really the life!!!
OK, how about a walk on the beach?  Danny reluctantly said “yes” so off
we go.  It was a beautiful sunset and a great walk. Lots of birds catching
fish and people just walking and enjoying the view.

A quick sandwich for dinner and turn on the generator so we can have
electric.  Can only run the generator from 10am to 8pm.  We are well
aware of the generator rules.  We have had to tell many campers to turn
them off.
This is our site in Pismo
Beach, Oceano campground.
