Fri. Dec. 18, 2009 -  Up and at’um.  We are moving
today.  It is 8:30am and we are getting ready.  Danny has
finished up what he does outside and I am finishing up on
the inside, getting ready to go.   9:00am  we are off.

Today we are seeing the high desert and really a lot of
wind.  The motor home is pulling into the wind and so we
aren’t going fast.  It is Ok as long as she just keeps going
forward.  When those big semis come past us the wind blows
the motor home.

We are seeing snow on the mountains and lots of
sagebrush and cactus.  It is really pretty with all the different
things to look at.  The mountains are jagged and high and
dark.

We have stopped for gas in Lighthouse. It is just a very
small town with a truck stop and a few other gas stations and
an RV Park.  We get gas.  We aren’t out but sure feel better
when it is above ½ full.  Cost less when we have to fill up the
upper ½.

On towards Las Vegas and Henderson.  We are thinking
about stopping and staying at a Casino in Henderson.  No
hook ups and free, if we can find one that will let you stay
there.

Along the way I have taken pictures out of the front window.
Danny cleaned the window really well so hopefully I can take
some decent pictures.  The desert looks different each miles
we travel and different from what we saw going to Bullhead
City.

We have arrived in Henderson and over towards the left we
can see the Casinos of Las Vegas.  Looks just like a big
city!

The Casino we were going to stay at doesn’t allow motor
homes to stay over night so off to Las Vegas we go.  Danny
said he remembers there is an RV campground at Circus
Circus.  It is a KOA and I make reservations as we are
getting to Las Vegas.

Danny has to drive this big ole motor home down Las Vegas
Boulevard.  Oh my gosh, it is full of traffic and the lanes are
narrow.  He does incredibly well.  He is still my hero.  As he
always tells me, “there ain’t anything I can’t do, the
impossible just takes me a little longer.”

Circus Circus Drive, here it is.  The KOA campground is
behind Circus Circus Casino.  It is nothing much but it does
have full hook ups and we are close to other casinos

horse, poinsettias, gigantic tree ornaments, a small train
with a camera on the front.  Oh my gosh, there we are.
There are so many people here taking zillions of pictures.
My favorite was the stacked baskets full of  baby red
roses. They were so pretty.  As we get to the end of the
display  they have 3 bears playing.  The bears are made
of 34,000 carnations.  They are so cool!!  We took many,
many pictures.

Out front of the Beligio is the water display.  We watched 3
different scenes.  It was so pretty and there were lots of
people watching.  We walked toward Caesars and stop at
the corner.  There are 3 city motorcyle police officers
parked at the intersection.  We just stood there and
watched as they did their job and stopped many drivers
who ran red lights, or who had been drinking and then
decided to drive.  “Bad boys, bad boys”.  Ok, now it is
getting cold and we need to head for the motor home.
Wonder what time it is.  Danny looked at his phone and it
was 11:00pm.  Wow, time does go fast when you are
having fun.

We walked thru the Paris Casino and missed our hallway
to the parking garage and had to turn around and head
back.  Can’t believe we missed it.

We find our car, turn on the heat and head out.  Danny
decides to take some back road to Circus Circus.  Well,
that didn’t work.  We ended up having to use our GPS and
got directions and “Fiona” said there was major traffic
congestion on Las Vegas Blvd. So she took us around to
Circus Circus.  When we got home it was 12:30am!  We
never stay up this late!  Hit the bed, feet, hips, calves,
thighs, and everything else hurts.  Lots of walking that we
aren’t use to.

Too tired to say much more – Goodnight from Circus
Circus in Las Vegas, Nevada.
.        We got set up with the water, electric and sewer and
I put a few things out that we might need and we are ready
to run a muck on the strip.  Since everything is a way to
walk we take the car.  First stop, Circus Circus.  We
wander around and watch people and the circus acts.
Enough we head to Belligio and Ballys.  Parking, now that
is something else in Las Vegas.  Nothing like it was in
Laughlin.  We find a parking garage at Paris and up we
go, 6 stories.  There is an elevator there so it will be easy
to get back.  Remember we are at 6D, easy to remember 6
Danny and we are at the Paris Casino Parking garage.

Off we go to the Casino.  Never been in the Paris before.
It is interesting and nice, smells great with all the French
pastries going on.  The sign says to Las Vegas Blvd., so
off we go.

My aim is to see the decorations at the Beligio. I saw them
on a special on TV and since we are here we might as well
go there.  We walk across the walk way, easy way to cross
Las Vegas Blvd., and walk to the Beligio.  Well, those
Christmas trees are nice, so are the toy soldiers and the
fake wrapped Christmas candy but this isn’t exactly what I
thought it would be, there just has to be more.  We head
toward the hotel lobby.  We are walking right thru the
middle of the casino and WOW there are people on those
machines everywhere.  Busy place!  WOW that is what we
came to see!  There is a 6 foot rocking
