Sat,. Dec. 19, 2009 -  Oh my, up and at ‘em.  This is
really hard!!  I am so tired.  Danny is having a hard
time waking up and getting motivated.  We just are
too old to stay up that late.

Ok, we have stuff done and we are ready to move.  It
is 10:55am and we have to be out of here by 11:
00am.  Off we go.  We hit the roads like we need to
and we are off and heading for Pahrump.  The say
“Over the hump to Pahrump.”  I just wonder how high
the “hump” is.  I have never been this way before and
neither has Danny.  Hope we made the right decision
to go to Pahrump for Christmas.

The road is a good road, 4 lanes and smooth
sailing.  Out here in the middle  of nowhere they are
building $200,000.00 houses.  Wonder where these
people work>  It is aways to drive from here to Las
Vegas.  Guess if the wages are good it would be OK.

Good grief, this is a long hill to climb.  The motor
home is doing great.  Pulls the hill just fine, slow and
steady.

As we pull the pass there is snow down towards the
road.  Not very much, but I do think last week there
was lots.  Glad that “ain’t so” today.
We see Pahrump in the distance.  It is really a spread
out town.  Not  very big but spread out.

Turn onto Winery Road from Hwy. 160 and there is
the RV Resort we are going to stay at.  Cool, it is
right next to the winery.  We check in.  Pat is very
nice, helpful and very friendly.  She tells us about the
area and what there is in this small town.

We go to our site #204.  We are facing the desert
mountains.  There is snow up there.  Hope it stays
there!!!  It is nice here, not cold and no wind right
now.  Like that!!
