| Sun. Dec. 20, 2009 – Good morning from Pahrump. It was cold last night. This morning the thermometer said 38 outside. Mass started at 9: 00am so I left here about 8:40am. The church is about 10 miles away. When I got to the parking area everything was full so I had to park way in the back. It is a new Catholic Chruch and feels way out in the country. The church was packed with people, think Christmas it will be even fuller. When I got home we had some lunch and then decided to take a walk. We walked over to the office and signed up for the Christmas Eve dinner, $6.50 per person. They are cooking ham, turkey, scalloped potatoes and everyone that is attending will bring something. Guess I will bring sweet potatoes. The dinner starts at 5pm but the bar opens at 4:30pm Should be a nice way to spend Christmas Eve. Hopefully we will be able to stay awake to attend midnight mass. We hardly ever stay up late so this will be hard. After we signed up for the dinner we went over to the club house and played 3 games of pool. Had a great time. Danny won all three games, that’s OK we did enjoy it. We came home, ate dinner. We decided we needed to put our lights up outside the motor home so when we did that it got us in the Christmas Spirit and we decided to go for a drive and check out the Christmas lights. WOW some of these house are really decorated. Here we are back at home and watching a Christmas movie. Soon I will fall asleep so will say good night from Pahrump. Have to wake up early tomorrow morning so that we can call Debbie before she goes to work and wish her a Happy Birthday. Can’t believe she is 41 years old. Boy, time does go fast! It is cold outside again tonight. Suppose to be in the mid 30’s. The snow on the mountain in front of us is staying there. I hope it stays there. Goodnight from Pahrump. |
