| Tue. Dec. 22, 2009 – Feel much better this morning. Made some breakfast and then vacuumed the house. Looks better and cleaner. Today they are going to have a travel program at the Club House at 3pm so think we will go over there and see what it is all about. Went over to the office to see if we got any mail. They card that Deb sent addressed to “Mom and Danny” was there. The boys school pictures were in it. They are great pictures. Glad we got the card. We played 3 games of pool. I didn’t do very well – I lost all 3 games, but I did make some great shots! That was fun. We listened to the talk from the people from Fantasy Tours. The show was about a 14 day tour to Copper Canyon Mexico. They caravan there in their RV’s. They gave us the brochure so we will look at it and see if we want to pay to have an escorted tour in our RV. We enjoyed some wine – Pahrump special. They were pretty good. Danny even enjoyed a glass. Thelma told us about the deal they were having at the Pahrump Nugget for their buffet dinner. OK, we will go there for dinner tonight. Off we go, we signed up for their club card and then went to dininer. It is 2 for 1 so the price is right. Good food and we enjoyed our hour or so there. After dinner we played our $3.00 card and our own $2.00 each in the penny slots. Not really big spenders. Hate giving the Casinos my money. I need it more than they do. We were at the Casino until about 8pm and then came home. Cold, wow is it ever cold and the wind is blowing. We have turned on our electric heater and the propane heater in the motor home. We gotta keep warm. Going to have to run water tonight so the pipes don’t freeze. I didn’t know it got this cold here in Pahrump. I just think it is cold everywhere. The wind is blowing cold and the motor home is rockin and rollin again. From the looks of things it is going to be very cold the rest of the week. Think we are suppose to have rain tomorrow. Gosh a lady at the office today said a couple of weeks ago it snowed and stayed on the ground for a week because it never got warm enough to melt the snow! YIKES!! Page 46 Well, going to watch a Christmas special and then crawl into bed and try to keep warm. Thank goodness we have a down comforter and a couple of blankets on the bed. I was planning on going to Midnight Mass Christmas Eve but since it is suppose to be 22 degrees outside I think I will go at 10am Christmas morning. I am sure it will be warmer then. | Today was one of those “I really don’t want to do anything” kind of day. Guess what – that is exactly what we did – nothing! I sat on the sofa and read my book and Danny worked on the computer. Made sandwiches for Casino and have the cheap buffet. We are full and came home and watched Christmas movies. Nice day here in Pahrump. Goodnight from Pahrump. |
