Thurs. Dec. 24, 2009 -  Happy
Christmas Eve.  Have a few things to do
today.  We drove to town, about 6 miles, to
the Super WalMart and got some groceries.
We went for turkey pastrami and cheese and
bread and bought a few extra things that were
a good price.  Chicken was $1.99 a pound so
we bought 2 ½ pounds and pork chops were
looking good so we bought 2.  Got what we
needed and headed home since I have to
make something to take to the potluck
tonight.  On the way into the RV Park we
stopped at the office to check our mail.  We
got the two packages we were waiting for, one
from Debbie and one from Steph.  Merry
Christmas.

Daniel called me from Tulare District Hospital
parking lot.  He was in the car waiting for Mark
to come back from visiting Sara.  Daniel is too
young and  they wouldn’t let him in.  He called
to tell me he had a problem  He could hear an
ambulance coming and didn’t know what to
do.  Told him he was fine parked infront of the
hospital that the ambulance wouldn’t come
there.  We talked about Christmas and what
he wanted.  Told him I knew what he was
getting and he was really going to be
surprised. He said he had to go to the
bathroom.  I told him to call his dad, and he
told me Marks phone had bad words on it
when it rang.  I told him to text his dad and he
said he couldn’t text on his phone so I told him
to call his mom.  I was in Pahrump and couldn’
t help him but his mom could.  Told him I loved
him and would talk to him soon.  That child
makes me laugh!!   Love it that he calls me,
even when he has a problem that I can’t do
anything about!

Came home and made some ambrosia to take
to the potluck.  It is easy, looks festive and
tastes good.  At 4:30pm we headed to the
club house for our Christmas Eve dinner.
The room smelled so good when we walked
in.  From 4:30pm to 5:00pm was happy hour.
Brought some wine to enjoy and just sat and
talked to some of the couples here in the
park.  Dinner was turkey, dressing, ham,
scalloped potatoes, sweet potatoes, rolls,
ambrosia, spinach salad , green bean
casserole, creamed corn.  Plenty of food to

from.  It was all very good.  We enjoyed our
dinner and the other two couples at our
table.  Dessert was pie, cake, brownies, fudge
and coffee.  Wonderful Christmas Eve.  We
were going to go caroling but the wind came
up and the temperature went down and it was
too darn cold.  Came home, watched “It’s a
Wonderful Life”.

Debbie called from her house the kids yelled
Merry Christmas and then I talked to Debbie,
Stephanie, Rileigh, JT, Daniel, Beau and
Kyle.  They were having a great night.   JT
and Daniel like the WII games we gave them.
They don’t have a game with a wheel and Ri
and Beau liked the WII game we gave them.
Beau asked how did I know he put that on his
list?  I am just grandma that is how!!  Glad
they enjoyed everything and were able to
spend the evening together.  I really missed
them and all the excitement they
create.  My girls and grandkids are the best!!
Gosh I love them all to infinity and way
beyond!!!

I finished reading my Danielle Steele book so
will start on another book I am waiting to
read.  I do love to read.

Danny and I discussed where we were
heading in the next few weeks and where we
wanted to stay.  Monday I will have to call and
make some reservations.  After Quartzsite we
are headed to Calif.  Hopefully it will be
warmer there!!  Loving this travel even when
it is cold and the wind blows.

Merry Christmas Eve from Pahrump, Nevada.
