| Fri. Dec 25,2009 - MERRY CHRISTMAS. Gosh I woke up about 3am to go to the bathroom and the toilet wouldn’t flush. Turned on the faucet in the bathroom sink and no water- OH NO. I then came to the kitchen and turned on the kitchen faucet and there was a slow dribble of water. I left it run for a little while and finally got water. Turned the bathroom faucet and had water so I was able to flush the toilet. Danny got up about 2 hours later and had to do the same thing! It got down right cold the last few nights. Our gray water tank and our black water tank are heated so we think they won’t freeze solid but they must get a little icey. When we woke up, we got our morning coffee and opened our gifts. my daughter Debbie made a a CD of all of us, Debbie, Mark, JT, Daniel, Stephanie, Brian, Rileigh and Beau and even Chance. She said when I was missing them just to put in the CD and there they were. The pictures bring back lots of great memories we had with them all. The music she put with the pictures was great. Than you, thank you thank you Debbie. I love homemade gifts!! Page 48 Danny opened his gift from my brother Danny A. It was a gift card to Home Depot – Danny’s favorite shopping place!. I told him we now had money towards the cabinets that we want to buy to remodel the motor home. That will be fun when we start that. If it all works out, we will have more room than we do now. We are planning on taking out the sofa, the table and bench seats. We will replace them when an extension cabinet to the kitchen, a rocker, computer table, dining room cabinet and another chair. Will make it look different and feel like we have more room. Hope to start this spring. Stephanie called and they were eating breakfast. They had opened one present and Brian was hooking up the WII. I think they take all day to open presents. How fun!! Stephanie said they were so surprised getting the WII. Glad they like it. I know they will enjoy hours with it. Christmas is so much fun when you give a gift that is a real surprise and it makes people happy. I went to Mass at the Catholic Church here in Pahrump. It is about 12 miles from the resort. It was nice. When I got home I talked to Debbie and told her how much we enjoyed the CD and what a great job she did. What a thoughtful thing to do. She said they had fun last night and it was nice to meet Kyle and he fit in really well. That is a good thing. Danny and I headed to the buffet at the casino. It was the Christmas Buffet for $5.00 each. That is a real good deal. Got to the Casino and had a hard time finding a parking space. There are lots of people here. When we got in the casino there was a long line at the buffet. Of course there is since it is only $5.00 per person. We didn’t wait long – about 10 minutes. The cashier told us she had just found out she was going to have a baby. We wished her well. Wow, turkey, dressing, ham, prime rib, sweet potatoes, dressing, potatoes, brown gravy, turkey gravy, scalloped potatoes rolls, Burgundy beef tips, rice, noodles, spinach salad, green salad and all the trimmings, pumpkin, apple, cherry pie, ice cream, cake, cookies. Plenty to eat, including soda, coffee and tea. We just took our time and enjoyed our nice Christmas dinner. After dinner we took a drive to some areas outside of Pahrump. It was clear and nice so we just enjoyed the countryside. Came back to Pahrump and went to Terribles Casino where we got our club card and $3.00 and a bag of hat, shirt, salt and pepper shakers, cards. We played on their $3.00 and $2.00 of our money. I spent an extra $1.00 since I lost my $3.00 fast. Danny played for about an hour longer on his little bit of money. We had a good time. So far we have spent $5.00 gambling here. In Las Vegas we spent $4.00. Probably done with gambling. Hate to spend money that we will use to redo our motor home. We enjoyed our day. Now it is dark and getting cold outside. Another day is almost over here in Pahrump. Seems we wait and wait for Christmas and then all of a sudden it is over!. Page 49 Goodnight and a very MERRY CHRISTMAS from Pahrump, Nevada. |
