| Sat. Dec. 26,2009 – Here it is the day after Christmas 2009. What a funny day this was. Danny worked on the water filter system under the sink. We ended up having to go to Home Depot 3 times. The lady in the plumbing was so great and helpful. After the second trip she said “you know plumbing is a 3 trip job”, nope we have it all!! Yea right, it ended up really being a 3 trip job. By the time we had gone back and forth and Danny figured out how he was going to fix it it was too late to fix it. With stuff all over the motor home Danny suggested we go to dinner at the Casino. Gosh, what a great idea. Off we trot to the casino. We get the senior discount at the buffet. It wasn’t as great a price as Christmas was but two for $13.00 was fine. Good food and of course great company. We didn’t have to wait to get in or wait in line for food. Much different than Christmas day. After we ate we walked around the casino, didn’t spend a dime but as we were walking out a good Country band began playing so we stopped, sat down and listened. They were pretty good. They were called “Southern Lights”. A man stopped by our chairs and said we should get out there and dance. We just smiled. Well they played a song that both Danny and I enjoyed and we danced. We moved my purse, keys and glasses to a table and danced. We sat and enjoyed the music and danced until the bands second break and then we left. We sat and watched the country dancers club dance. They were really fun to watch. Some had been dancing a long time and some just beginning. Gosh I wish I could dance like they do. Oh well, maybe one day we can take lessons. The man who told us we should dance came over to our table and started talking about what we should see in Pahrump. His name was Joe and his wife’s name was Linda. He even went out to his car and got us a map. What a nice group of people. What a great time we had. Loved it. It was soooo cold when we left and drove home. Came home by 8:45pm, got on the computer for about an hour. Time to jump into bed and get warm so I will say Sweet Dreams from Pahrump, Nevada. |
