| Fri. Jan 1, 2010 – WOW, can’t get enough sleep today. We just hung around the motor home and vegged out! Made some spaghetti for dinner and then Danny suggested we head for “Freemont Street”. Ok! We got dressed and headed out. Found an easy parking space and then walked the 3 blocks to Freemont Street. What a great experience. The show on the ceiling was incredible. Can’t even begin to explain it to anyone. There were lots of people but they were there to enjoy the experience so that was nice. It wasn’t as cold there, it felt like we were inside but we were outside, just had lots of casinos around us. We stayed there until about 11:00pm and headed home. Got home and hit the bed. We have to get up and get moving in the morning. Gosh I hope we are not too tired when we move in the morning. Had a great New Years Day tour. | Sat. Jan 2, 2010 – Oh my gosh it is hard to wake up!! Moving day and I am wayyyyy too tired. Oh well, have to be out of here by 11: 00am so we had better get ready. We get everything packed and unhooked and hooked up and we are headed out by 10:30am. Not too much traffic and Danny just drives this rig like it is a little car! He really is a great driver. He asked me if I wanted to drive – I already drove this rig 37 miles and that was good enough. Page 58 Our rig is working so well and takes the hills with no problem. Love this rig!!! We stopped in a small town called Searchlight. We made lunch and sat in our rig and ate and rested. We watched all the motor homes, 5th wheels, and travel trailers headed out of Las Vegas. Most likely most of them are headed to Quartzsite. Think there will be lots of action down there in Quartzsite. We pulled into Bullhead City about 1:00pm and set up. Danny got tired and laid down and I decided to lay down and read my book. Well, only got one page read and then fell asleep. Slept about 11/2 hours and felt pretty good when I woke up. We took a walk to the club house and met a couple of people then walked back to our rig. Made chicken, sweet potatoes for dinner. Cleaned up and now I am just going to kick back and rest some more. The older I get the longer it takes me to recouperate. Gosh I hope I can get rested up by tomorrow. We are in the Ridgeview Resort in Bullhead City. We were here before Christmas. It is a nice place and we will get our laundry done and rested. Goodnight from Bullhead City. |
