| After about 30 minutes we come back to the motor home. Dinner – what’s for dinner. Well here we are 1 block from Pea Soup Andersons – think we should have some pea soup. Just happen to have a couple of cans. Yummy, tastes great. Enjoy just the bowl of soup while watching the Steelers beat the socks off the Broncos. We decide to take advantage of the large shower. Wow it is so nice. Great hot water and large showers and very clean. We have decided to stay one extra night. Called Refugio State Park and told them we would be a day late. Tomorrow morning we will pay for one more night here. Just want to enjoy this park and we are also going to go to Solvang for a couple of hours. | Mon. Nov. 9, 2009 – We are on our way again! Once we left Oceano State Park we had to go and dump and then head for Buellton and the Flying Flags RV Resort. We have never been there so it will be a surprise. We have reservations for Basic site but think when we get there we motor home doing just fine. Love riding as a passenger. You remember when we traveled last year, I drove behind. Much prefer being “shotgun”. |
| Page 10 Here we are!! WOW this place is really nice – yes we upgraded to full hook ups including cable TV. When we checked in we asked to be close to the pool and laundry. Well she put us in Site 51. We are directly across from the laundry and the pool, game room, Jacuzzi and store. Great space. Have a little grass and a picnic table. The concrete slab is level – that is always nice. A nice touch, when you check in they give you a little bag with 2 freshly baked Otis Spunkmyer cookies. They tasted so good. We ate them before we drove away from the registration office. We get set up. Danny comes in a informs me that he didn’t bungy the wire from the motor home to the car and it went down to the metal. Thank goodness it didn’t short out. After going to the RV Store, Danny decided he could fix it himself. They wanted over $200.00 to put the ends on the wire. We went to the auto store and Danny found what he needed to fix it. Gosh I love the guy. He keeps trying to keep me from being stressed. I just stress over everything. Hopefully one of these days I will get over this. |
| Well, it is a beautiful day so we used the hot tub. The pool was kind of too cold but the outdoor hot tub was nice. As we are sitting there we see “Adults Only” inside hot tub. We go over there. We are the only ones out here. Wow, this is hot and nice and great bubbles. Just the two of us, and we spent about 30 minutes in the hot tub. When we got out we went in the outdoor hot tub just to cool off. |
| Came back to the motor home, had lunch and decided to walk around the park and see what it here. We visit the little store, cute stuff and stuff that you might need to fix or add to your RV and food and of course T-shirts. |
| We wonder around and here is table, ping pong table, and about 12 video games. Danny convinced me that I need to drive so I played that video – twice. OK, I am done with the video things. I watch as Danny plays, and take pictures of the area, Danny playing, the pool area and the lights. |
